So I guess the big question here is simply is this a one off media stunt or will they carry on with this example?

hehehe! I thought the same thing myself. This smacks of "publicity stunt" but we shouldn't be so cynical!!! The low carbon economy is the way of the future - and we're all going to be queuing up for green jobs soon

I agree but some companies will do this kind of one off to give people the illusion they are heading in the right direction so that we give them our business etc you know?

Then once they have the business up again they will fall into thier usual habits! One store is a start I just vwant to see if they open any more like this! Green jobs are the way of the future so hopefully they will get the message and get on the band wagon with both feet not just one hehe

It's so true, companies feel they should b making a big hoo-ha about anything 'green' they're doing these days. I reckon one of the most lucrative jobs in the UK the the moment must be in PR

In some essence you are right! Off course it is a marketing ploy to get them attention and customers and Im sorry to say it works! If people aree under the impression thet a company is 'green' they will take thier business to them in a bid to help the environment in thier own little way! Crazy idsn't it?

I agree with that your saying about PR jobs as well! They must be making a hell of a lot of money at the moment! Can you imagine what they make!

Yeah, I wonder whether PR jobs have been as hard-hit as construction jobs during the recession? By all accounts, the PR industry is growing, so they must be doing something right?!

Yeah they must be or maybe all these big companies that are si=uffering are using them to boost sales and then you have the people that get found out for little naughty things they have done - naturally they need the help too! Its one type of company that will do well now isnt it?

Maybe we should change jobs?

Maybe we should be constructing arguments instead of buildings... what is the world coming to mate? Can you ever remember a time when construction jobs were so difficult to find? I wonder whether any of this is going to change after the elections? Hmmm... not holding my breath! But you never know, did you read that CN Plus article that says the UK construction industry is going to be one of the strongest in Europe in a decade or so?
